This page shows historical unit rate (p/kWh) and standing charge (p/day) from data we store: scheduled snapshots and/or a one-off backfill from Octopus’s published rate history. It’s a helpful trend view, not a guarantee — always confirm live prices on octopus.energy.

Daily snapshots only add today unless you backfill. On the server, call POST /api/snapshots/octopus/backfill (with your SNAPSHOT_SECRET) to pull historic rates from Octopus (weekly samples for up to ~2 years). After that, keep your existing cron on POST /api/snapshots/octopus for fresh points.
