Gas alongside electricity
Octopus publishes single-register gas tariffs on many domestic products. Unit rates are in pence per kWh and standing charges in pence per day (VAT included), similar to electricity. A dual-fuel bill is simply both fuels added together — there is no magic third price, though some products advertise dual-fuel discounts in the API payload.
Typical usage
Octopus's published sample consumption uses about 9,500 kWh of gas and 2,500 kWh of electricity per year for a typical home. Those figures are a starting point only — insulated flats and large houses diverge a lot.
